Marketing and Product Executive

Gapyear.com / StudentUniverse

All round marketing assistant, supporting the marketing department across all activity. Implementing partnership campaigns with advertisers on Gapyear.com to boost exposure during peak periods through social media, email marketing, and content planning while ensuring a strong return on investment. Includes collaborating with tourism boards to deliver impactful campaigns that drive sales for both Gapyear.com and StudentUniverse. Working closely with advertisers to maintain the site’s unique voice during product uploads and promotions on site. Managing the transition to a newly relaunched website, and balancing content and sales-focused messaging in email campaigns. Additionally, the role supports event coordination for StudentUniverse, from initial planning stages to execution and post-event analysis.

Highlights of the Role

  • Email campaign planning and creation upholding the balance of content and sales messaging from Gapyear.com.

  • Working with volunteering companies, tourism boards and other partners with both Gapyear.com and StudentUniverse to deliver exciting campaigns driving sales.

  • Part of Gapyear.com website relaunch team, managing both the old and new sites. Maintaining constant revision and input on the workings of the website, with the goal of expanding audience and partnerships.

  • Supporting on events such as freshers fairs and travel shows for StudentUniverse, from conception ideas, planning, on the day runnings and post event wrap ups.

  • Working on the StudentUniverse app promotion to increase UK in-app bookings by 108% YoY and increase installs of the app by over 50%.
